About MAMIDECOT
Masaka Microfinance and Development Cooperative Trust Ltd (MAMIDECOT) is a member owned – member user savings and credit organization (SACCO) established in 1999 under the Cooperative Act Cap 112. The SACCO is regulated under the Laws of Uganda, and its By-laws. The objective of the SACCO is to provide a mechanism for its members to save and borrow in order to meet their socio-economic needs. The SACCO is intended to promote the economic and social interests of the members, in accordance with the co-operative principles, which are:
a) Voluntary and open membership;
b) Democratic member control;
c) Economic participation by members;
d) Autonomy and independence;
e) Education, training and information;
f) Co-operation among co-operators
g) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
